Every young person carries gifts, promise, and possibility. We provide the personalized support, meaningful relationships, and practical resources that help students move forward with confidence.

Where scholars grow, families thrive, leaders rise, and futures shine.
Why Bridge to Hope
Bridge to Hope was founded by Eden S. Buba, a licensed professional educator, community leader, and mother with more than a decade of experience serving culturally, linguistically, and academically diverse students.
After seeing talented young people struggle—not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked consistent access to support, mentorship, resources, and encouragement—Eden created Bridge to Hope to help families and the students they love find hope in the future ahead.
What guides us
At Bridge to Hope, our values are rooted in HOPE—shaping how we see, support, and walk alongside every young person and family.
Belonging · Identity · Culture
We see and value the whole person. Every young person and family brings experiences, strengths, culture, and a story worthy of respect.
Growth Mindset · Reflection · Development
We believe every young person has the capacity to learn, grow, and succeed. We help students recognize their strengths, embrace challenges, reflect on progress, and identify areas where additional support, focus, and development can help them continue growing.
Relationships · Families · Collaboration
Growth and success are not meant to be pursued alone. Young people thrive when students, families, educators, mentors, and communities work together as partners in the journey.
Confidence · Agency · Future
We equip young people to recognize their potential, develop their gifts, make confident choices, and move toward a future of purpose.
Building bridges. Creating opportunity. Inspiring HOPE.

Meet Eden & hear our story
Educator • Speaker • Youth Advocate • Founder
Eden S. Buba is an educator, speaker, youth advocate, and founder of Bridge to Hope Academy with more than a decade of experience serving diverse learners, families, and communities. As a first-generation Ethiopian-Eritrean raised in Northern Virginia, Eden is passionate about building bridges across cultures and generations and creating spaces where young people feel seen, supported, challenged, and empowered to discover their God-given identity and purpose.
Eden earned her bachelor’s degree in English: World Literature and Linguistics from George Mason University and holds two graduate degrees: a master’s in Multilingual/Multicultural Education from George Mason University and a master’s in Educational Administration and Supervision from Liberty University.
Throughout her career, Eden has taught and supported students in ESL, English, Algebra, College & Career Preparation, and AVID. Her work has allowed her to serve students from a wide range of cultural, linguistic, academic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, with a particular passion for immigrant and first-generation youth and families.
Eden’s passion for young people is deeply rooted in her own story of redemption. Her adolescence included struggles with substance abuse, involvement with the juvenile justice system, and a life-altering accident that required months of physical recovery.
Rather than allowing those experiences to define her future, Eden’s journey became one of transformation. Through faith, perseverance, education, and motherhood, she began turning pain into purpose and developed a passion for helping young people recognize that their past or present circumstances do not have to determine what comes next.
Becoming a young mother further shaped her perspective and strengthened her commitment to building a different future for herself and her daughter, Lydia, while helping the next generation discover their own potential and purpose.
Today, Eden brings together her professional expertise and personal testimony through Bridge to Hope Academy, helping young people grow academically, personally, and as leaders while reminding them that their story is still being written.
“Every young person has gifts, purpose, and potential. Sometimes, they simply need a bridge.”
